Snow blizzard conditions didn't discourage kids and families from heading to Stanley Ford Easter Saturday for their first Easter Egg Hunt and cake walk. "We had a great turn out! This was the first year we invited the kids of the community over for an Easter Egg hunt, so we set up three piles of hay in the service bay where we hid eggs stuffed with all kinds of prizes and candies, plus we had cookies served by the Easter Bunny and face painting by Faby for the kids which they loved, then we went retro for an old fashioned cake walk with real pastries for prizes. It was a fantastic day with even some real bunnies running around in the real snow," said Marketing director Kimberly Stocker of Stanley Ford.
Over 3,000 eggs were given away thanks in part to the Soldotna Chamber egg stuffers, "The Soldotna Chamber donated 3,000 eggs to us for our egg hunt so had 1,000 eggs for each of our three hunts and we really want to give a shout out to the Soldotna Chamber for doing that for us as the snow and weather didn't cooperate this year for their outdoor egg hunt and we really appreciate them and all the participating businesses that donated prizes and goodies that were inside the eggs, so it was a huge community effort here today and the reward was the smiles and squeals from all the children," said Kim. Cars were parked and backed up along the Spur Hwy though out the day as kids came to Stanley Ford to hunt eggs and visit the Easter Bunny with cameras in hand, "Again we want to thank everyone who made this such an outstanding event, we are a community business and we love giving back to those who make us successful. Seeing all these families here today just reminds us of keeping those families safe in the best possible vehicles and keeping the smiles on their faces as they grow up and become car owners themselves."
