Last week was the 10th Anniversary celebration and open house at the Soldotna Aspen Hotel and 200 some folks turned out to see the remodeled facility that includes a spacious new lobby in warm fall earth colors. "Like all our properties our design is with your needs in mind so that your great days will begin with Aspen nights," said Aspen Vice President of Operations Pat Wallace who came down personally for anniversary celebration. "We did a make over our pool, spa and family suites, the lobby is expanded and we have a brand new breakfast area. We've added new carpet and flooring throughout the facility along with new beds and really a total interior make over. With three spa-suites available this is a perfect time for local residents to take a weekend get-a-away from the home chores, break-up mud and dust, and experience for themselves all the changes we've made over the last ten years," she said.
The "Cake Lady," Karen Otter was the winner of the free nights stay given away in a door prize drawing along with twelve other great prizes. "We were so happy with the turn out of local residents and business people who came by to tell us they appreciate us being here and the improvements of the facility. It was exciting to have our vice president of operations here for the celebration. Pat and our owner George Swift are such amazing people to work for the ten years I've been here. It looks like a great season ahead of us all on the Kenai Peninsula and we're happy to be here to serve you and are very thankful for everyone who helped make our 10th Anniversary open house such a great success," said Serena Sevener-Byerly, general manager of the Soldotna Aspen.
Pat Wallace took the opportunity to announce and invite Peninsula residents to visit their newest Midtown Anchorage facility that will be opening in June, 2012, for more information log on to www.aspenhotelsak.com.
