Candy Bouquet moves in with Tammy’s Flowers…

New entrepreneur Debbie Morris of D&M Sweet Designs recently purchased the Candy Bouquet franchise and has moved in with Kim Mariman, owner of Tammy’s Flowers and Gifts in Soldotna. “I love the floral business and this is very similar with color mixtures and artistic design and the uniqueness of having candy in a bouquet, so when the opportunity came available we thought having the two businesses at the same location would be a perfect fit,” Morris told the Dispatch. Debbie says she hales from Oregon but was lured to the Peninsula by the charm of Alaska, “I love the people here and the home town feel of the community, I love the tourists when they come because when it’s busy it’s really busy and then when they leave we have our home town back to ourselves and we have fun together and enjoy each other. I guess the best way to say it is this is our home,” she said.

Candy Bouquet is a national franchise so just like you can send flowers back home so you can send bouquets of candies says Morris, “We can connect with another Candy Bouquet in another location or we can physically send a candy bouquet created to your specifications and made right here and sent to whatever address you like, we do that on a regular basis made up from whatever your personal choice or Alaskan gift favorites may be we can make it to order especially for you.” It’s no longer a choice of candy or flowers for that special occasion or person because now that the Candy Bouquet is at Tammy’s you can have it all; a beautiful floral arrangement and a bouquet of candy or gourmet chocolates along side to make a perfect party or to cheer up the dreariest of autumn days. “A lot of folks come in for one of Kim’s beautiful lily vase arrangements and then they’ll grab a candy bouquet full of their favorites and away they go happy to have it all with just one stop, and with the season of gifts coming Kim has uniquely Alaskan handcrafted gifts as well as great line of jewelry. The girls love to come here for their prom jewelry and then we do corsages and boutonnières whether for proms, weddings or dances and of course for any party we have a huge selection of balloons. We are looking forward to the holidays and are planning an open house in December and we hope to be rocking through all the seasons,” said an excited Debbie Morris. The Candy Bouquet also has a delicious sugar free line of candy in addition to gormet chocolates and candies by the pound, so stop by for a taste at Tammy’s Flowers just off Binkley Street on Riverview Ave. just past Carrs/Safeway in Soldotna.
