Life long Alaskan Chris Druesedow, sometimes known as CD, who likes to proclaim, “I’m NOT #1, You are!” has opened a new Keller Williams Realty office in Soldotna in between the Acapulco restaurant and Credit Union One at the bridge in Soldotna. Founded in 1983, Keller Williams Realty Inc. is an international real estate company with more than over 600 offices located across the U.S. and Canada. The company began franchising in 1991, and following years of phenomenal growth and success, became the second-largest U.S. residential real estate firm in North America in 2010. Each Keller Williams office is independently owned and operated.
At his recent open house Chris told the Dispatch in an interview, “I was born and raised here but left for 16 years while I was serving in the Navy and returned a couple of years ago to do real estate in the local area. My Navy experience was great and I lived in Hawaii, San Diego, and Seattle and was a submarine guy and also served as a Navy recruiter. I believe it’s an honor to qualify to serve your country, it’s what I was taught and is a family tradition so that’s what I did, but I’ve always had a passion for real estate even while in the service I would read and educate myself to keep current. Then when I was a recruiter I became involved with marketing and sales so to speak and it made a great transition for me to do well in real estate,” he said.
Druesedow feels the real estate market on the Peninsula is strong, “The last five years the market has consistently gone up and I believe it will continue to get stronger. Right now with the interest rates being so low it’s a great time to buy a home. Typically people believe that the winter market is slower here but with these low rates we are still selling lots of homes and for anyone thinking and ready to buy now is the time,” he said. Chris invites everyone to stop by his new offices and get acquainted with his friendly staff of professionals or call anytime for an appointment at 598-HOME (4663).
