Renewal Skin Care welcomes massage therapist Akcinia Kulikov

Looking for a unique Valentine or just a different kind of gift? Try a crazy wrap thing at the Renewal Skin Care Studio at the “Y” mall in Soldotna. What’s a crazy wrap thing? “They are amazing. They tighten, they tone, they firm, it’s an herbal body wrap that goes on any part of the body. It causes detoxification and gives permanent firming and toning results. We love them but most important our clients think they are amazing. It’s the only product like it in the whole United States,” explained Renewal Skin Care Studio owner Kris Mares. “And what we are especially excited about is that we have a new massage therapist at Renewal and are blessed to welcome Akcinia Kulikov from Homer. We lost a very good therapist last fall and we’ve been scouting high and low to find the right person to be part of our team and now are very happy to have Akcinia join us and our clients are raving about her,” said Mares.

Kulikov trained under a licensed therapist in Homer and offers prenatal massage for women with child, “I incorporate hot stones into all my massage and offer comfort to ladies from their first trimester to delivery and it’s very important for women to take care of themselves during pregnancy and find comfort and relaxation. We focus on the lower back but each massage varies from client to client depending on their particular needs,” she said. Akcinia says massage is important for maintaining health and should be done regularly rather than waiting until after an injury or pain occurs.

Renewal Skin Care Studio features Southcentral Alaska’s premier skin care treatments. “We offer professional, discreet services for the health and beauty of your skin — at any age, with a variety of services in addition to massage,” says Mares, “We do therapeutic skin care, facial services of medical grade that are corrective by nature. I’m a licensed Esthetician in the State of Alaska and we also do a lot of relaxation therapy and offer eyelash extension, eyebrow care, full body waxing and we offer three full lines of skin care products and make-up. I have a results-driven practice philosophy. I try to create a soothing, therapeutic environment for both myself and my clients & friends who frequent the Studio,” she said.
