Giana opens new Enchanted Crystals & Antiques at Red Diamond Center

Reminiscent of the quaint antique shops of Europe and New England Alaskan collectors now have a new antiquing experience awaiting them at Giana Pitsilionis’s Enchanted Crystals & Antiques shop on K-Beach Rd. Giana is also the owner of Vaughn’s Mini Mart and Shell station and has located her new shop right behind the Mini Mart across from the Orca Theatre. “I’ve always liked antiques and searching for them in my travels. Looking and browsing or antiquing as it is called has been a hobby of mine. It’s like treasure hunting or watching the Antique Road Show and pretend it’s happening to you with your latest find. So I decided to share the fun and open a little store to feature some of the items I’ve collected over the years as well as some beautiful handmade 18k gold jewelry I’ve brought in from Greece,” Giana told the Dispatch.

Enchanted Crystals & Antiques has wide variety of items from as far away as Persia and Europe as well as traditional American items including antique crystal and art glass, Sterling Silver, rugs furniture and many fine gifts, “We have some lovely furniture and buffets which I would say are the finer things that are European and decorative yet functional. The type of things a designer or decorator is searching for to give their home a unique atmosphere. We have collectable from Waterford and Lennox as well as other famous name brands and signature pieces. I have a passion for mahogany furniture but it is hard to find, but we have some as well some oak mirrors and old stained glass,” said Giana. While she has collected most of the pieces personally Giana says some consignments are welcome, “We are limited on space so we are selective with what we consider to consign but under the right conditions we’ll take some things on consignment. The parents of the baby boomer generation were collectors and as they age they may have inherited some items that they are not sure of the value. We welcome them to come by and show us and we’re happy to research the item for them,” she added. Enchanted Crystals & Antiques is open during the winter Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11:00am – 7:00pm but plan on extending those days and hours during the summer months.
