Soldotna Chamber honors Students of the Month & calls for scholarship applicants

For many years Bob Sizemore has sponsored the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce student of the month lunches, giving educators an opportunity to honor hard working students and showcase their efforts to the business community. Last month Whitney Benson of Skyview Middle School was honored along with Megan English from Soldotna High School and Delaney Risley of Soldotna Prep. Soldotna Chamber executive director Tami Murray also encouraged members to spread the word about scholarship application deadlines, “On behalf of all of our members the Soldotna Chamber of Commerce encourages all graduating seniors to consider applying for our Continuing Education Scholarships, we are very proud of this long tradition and extremely proud to support the future education of our local kids. The deadline for application folders is 5PM March 20th, applications can be found online at soldotnachamber.com. Look for the winners to be announced at a May luncheon,” said Murray.
