Primrose
Campground A forest service campground with 10 campsites and boat landing overlooks Kenai River. A 1-mile access road through a residential area leads to this campground surrounded by thick forests. The forest service Primrose Creek trailhead is well marked at the end of the campground road. The trail winds 6.5 miles to connect with the Lost Lake trail. Look for an unmarked trail about 2 miles from the campground that will take you to a waterfall. The first 5 miles climbs gradually through spruce and hemlock forest. The final miles cross meadows and ridge tops above timberline to Lost Lake. If you camp, carry a small stove and fuel. The trail is closed to motorized Vehicles May 1 through November 30.
