With the replacement refs it is gonna be a bundle of laughs along with some major screaming at the TV because of stupid calls, as well as non calls.
So all in all it's gonna be kind of like having the well paid refs that are on stike now doing what they did in that they over look obvious penalties and allow game shifting calls to be made continually.
I think that there needs to be as many challenges as needed by teams until they get one wrong. Also with the refs being responsible enough to call for their own replays like the Little League World series umpires did, and all with in a matter of a few seconds to minutes.
If the little league can do it as well as they did then whats the problem with supposed pros doing it as well?
Hogwash. I watched several pre-season games and didn't see that the "replacement refs" had any problems at all. Looked like every other NFL game to me.
Tonights the night (wed) the NFL season kicks off so watch real close and see what i'm talking about concerning bad rule inforcement, which you seem to miss in regard to the refs that lack the ability to make simple calls.
My point was that it does appear that there is some kind of collusion with refs inability to make calls, replacement refs or regular refs all included.
My NO Saints are a prime example of refs not calling obvious calls when the bounty's were placed and carried out on differant players in many games. As a saints fan i was more than upset with this type of play and officiating, but money does affect many people even those paid to inforce the rules of the game, football or other wise. I think it must be a Far left liberal thing to control or corrupt every thing, or not.
Enjoy the season.
It appears the refs did fairly well in last nights game ... Unless I missed something.
However, I firmly believe the current labor agreement needs to be settled soon. One game does not a season make!
