In order to take some of the 'heat' off this issue, the Assembly should repeal it NOW.
The Task Force can continue to look for ways we can make this work, with the PEOPLE knowing no enforcement issues will proceed.
As it stands now, people are forced to get permits to use their own property and if the ordinance is repealed later, those permits issued in the interim period will be null and void and the property owners will have been be put to that hindrance for no reason. There may even be legal costs involved if the Assembly's actions prove to have created unnecessary fiscal cost to property owners.
Since there should be no permits issued or restrictions enforced until the Task Force ends, what benefit is there to keep the Ordinance in place now?
With the restrictions of the ordnance gone, the Task Force can proceed without being tainted with the issues created by it.

REPEAL IT NOW.
I thought I heard the Mayor
I thought I heard the Mayor say that these new rules don't start until 2014? So the task force has time to make its modifications.
