We need citizen legislators, assembly persons included, not career politicians....
Every time we vote this in the assembly attempts to change it. Maybe the members that keep trying to change it are the reason why we voted it in to begin with.
Two terms are enough! If the person is good, let them move up and run for a higher office. If they are NOT good, they should get out of the way and let someone else try.
They seem to be hung up on 'partial' terms. How often has that happened? I don't believe it is a big problem. Let it stay at TWO TERMS- full or partial terms.
I'm tired of having to vote on this every two years! If the assembly was LISTENING TO THE PEOPLE they would stop bringing this back every two years. It just turns us off.
So far, only one mayoral candidate has weighed in on this issue - Fred Sturman. Not only is he against changing the current two terms, he collected signatures to get it on the ballot in 2007 and 2009. That's putting in your time and money, not just spouting words.
