Book sale proceeds benefit Kenai library, community

“Let us tenderly and kindly cherish, therefore, the means of knowledge. Let us dare to read, think, speak, and write.” – John Adams, Founding Father and Second President of the United States

The Friends of the Kenai Community Library would like to thank our wonderful, generous community members and volunteers for a very successful book sale held Thursday, March 23 through Sunday, March 26, 2017 on site in the library meeting rooms.

Innumerable library discarded and community donated books, DVDs, jigsaw puzzles, and handmade jewelry and crocheting projects were sold to enthusiastic buyers frequenting each of the sale days while seeking bargains. Many new Friends memberships were received as well as monetary donations; these funds provide support and materials for the abundant variety of Kenai Community Library programs designed for youth, adults, and families, such as the summer reading programs, book clubs, sewing classes, cooking lessons, as well as many other popular programs and events representing every age group.
