Last week-end Jay and Connie Golz opened their garage to a huge selection of original art with all proceeds going to our local Habitat. A big thank you to all who enjoyed the art and made purchases. The two-day eventwas a huge success.

Many years ago, when the tax cap of $500 on any sale in the Kenai Peninsula borough was eliminated on tourism packages, the borough experienced a huge increase in tax revenues.

SB21 has been touted as the More Alaska Production Act. A more accurate description is Minimize Alaska's Profits Act. Historically, instability in the Middle East has driven the price of oil higher.

If the Fisheries Conservation Alliance was truly for conservation of king salmon it would have opposed all king fishing in the Kenai River from the beginning of this season! When and only when the escapement was sufficient would they be for some type of fishery for kings....
