Add commentA little tip for the Clarion...
Backboards and C-Collars are commonly used in all motor vehicle crash and does not always indicate a neck injury. Even with the ability to 'clear c-spine' (the act of determining that a patient does not need a backboard and c-collar following a traumatic event), back pain following a traumatic incident can be an indication for spinal immobilization.
Just a little tip for the future - it doesn't necessarily mean a neck injury. Not long ago ANY fall, MVC, or traumatic event where c-spine could have been compromised required a backboard and c-collar.
