Blizzard warning issued along Kachemak Bay

A blizzard warning is in effect along Kachemak Bay starting at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday until 9 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service in Anchorage.

The warning says to expect 3 to 7 inches of snow with the highest amounts falling at higher elevations. Wind gusts from 25 to 40 mph are expected with local gusts reaching 55 mph, the warning said. The warning includes Kenai, Soldotna, Homer and Cooper Landing.
