Elections for Homer Electric Association’s Board of Directors will be held this spring.
Nominations for members interested in running for a seat on the board are due March 2. Candidacy packets are available at HEA’s offices in Kenai and Homer, and online at www.homerelectric.com.
Three seats — one from each district — are up for election. Members vote only for the seat in their district.
The District 1 seat, which includes Kenai, Nikiski and parts of Soldotna, is currently held by Kenai resident Alan Bute. Soldotna resident Ed Oberts holds the seat up for election in the Soldotna-Sterling-Kasilof area, which is District 2. The District 3 seat is currently held by Homer resident Jim Levine. That district is the Ninilchik-Homer-Seldovia area.
