Marti Wynn, a member of the Alaska Geographic Alliance, gives instructions to Soldotna Elementary fifth and sixth graders Tuesday while while standing and sitting on the National Geographic Society’s giant traveling map of the Pacific Ocean. The map is 26-foot by 35-foot and provided the students an opportunity to walk from Alaska to Australia in a few steps. The map has been all over Alaska, and was at Kaleidoscope School of Arts and Science Monday.
