Posted: May 25, 2012 - 2:28pm  |  Updated: May 25, 2012 - 3:25pm

An early morning outtage left nearly 400 Nikiski residents without power for more than three hours Friday as a Homer Electric Association crew worked to restore the lines.
At 4:23 a.m. the power went out to several hundred homes as well as the Swanson River Field.
The crew identified a faulty underground issue and power was restored around 8 a.m., said Melissa Carlin, communications specialist with the electric company.
Customers can access the HEA Facebook page and get automatic outage notifacations as they happen.
