Kenai celebrates the Fourth

Kenai’s annual Independence Day celebration, themed “America, Land of the Free,” begins today with parade at 11 a.m. The parade route starts on Fidalgo Ave., turns left on Willow Street, right on the Kenai Spur Highway and finishes with a right on Main Street Loop. Tom and Dorothy Wagoner will serve as Grand Marshals.

The Midway on the Kenai Green Strip is open from noon to 4 p.m. and will feature live entertainment with Troubador North, 30 vendors and activities including a kids carnival, hay rides and a beer garden.
