A crowd of about 50 gathered as several local officials took part in a groundbreaking ceremony for a new radiation oncology building project at the Central Peninsula Hospital Monday July 23, 2012 in Soldotna, Alaska.

An eye-catching photograph accompanied by a well-written and interesting story, particularly about members of our community are what draw me to read the print version of the Clarion on a daily basis.
I was very disappointed that this Ground-Breaking photograph was at the center of the newspaper today. Just below it was an eye-catching picture of Mr. Doyle, and a well written and very inspiring story about Mr. Doyle and his business that I believe should have been the feature of today's Clarion.
We need to give more recognition to the individuals in our community who have done such impressive things as Mr. Doyle has done, with the attiude he has toward his business, i.e. his "passion". There was simply nothing passionate about the photographs of the CPH employees posed with their safety helmets or the individuals sitting in the tents, clapping.
