Funny River cabin destroyed by fire

A 1,500-square-foot log home in the Funny River Road area burned down this weekend. Investigators were unable to determine the cause of the fire due to extensive damages.

On Saturday at 11:10 p.m., Central Emergency Services received a report of a residence on fire, and units were dispatched to 33350 Enterprise Avenue. The first responders arrived at the fire in about five minutes, CES reported.

The home was engulfed in flames. No one was inside the residence during the fire, and no one was injured as a result of the fire, CES reported.

The home’s owner, Kenny Ibsen, discovered the fire after returning from running errands. The fire was fully developed at that point. The home, which CES considered a total loss, is valued at $47,000.
