Arrest made after drugs stolen from Three Bears pharmacy

A man broke into the Three Bears’ pharmacy in Kenai on Wednesday night, stole large quantities of drugs and fled from the scene, an official from the Kenai Police Department said.

After an investigation, Soldotna Police Department officers arrested Jeffery Earl, Jr., of Nikiski, while he was at a Soldotna business as a suspect in connection with the burglary.

“He had controlled substances in his possession at the time of his arrest,” Kenai Police Department Lt. David Ross said. “The Soldotna Police Department charged him with additional charges of misconduct involving a controlled substance.”

Investigation is ongoing and involves both police departments the Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit and Alaska State Troopers, Ross said.

The event, which was discovered Thursday morning, occurred while the store was open but the pharmacy was closed, Ross said. The burglary was captured on video. Ross said he could not comment on what drugs were stolen or the value of them.
