Accident closes Spur near CH2M Hill facility

Update: According to the Soldotna Police Department, the Kenai Spur Highway remains closed near the site of the collision. Residents can reach Nikiski by using Marathon Road, located directly in front of the Kenai Walmart.

 

Also, one of the occupants of the wrecked vehicle is still being treated at the hospital, the Police Department said.

A rear-end collision has closed the Kenai Spur Highway near CH2M Hill at Veco Avenue, according to Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters.

Three people were transported to Central Peninsula Hospital. Troopers received a call about the accident at 2:48 p.m., she said in an email.

Troopers are currently on scene. No further details were available as of late Tuesday afternoon.
