HEA maintenance work slated for K-Beach area

Homer Electric crews will be working on a maintenance project in the Kalifornsky Beach Road area that will require intermittent power outages during the month of April.

The outages will occur in neighborhoods between the Red Diamond Center and the K-Beach fire station at Mile 13.5 K-Beach Road.

The outages will be isolated to the particular area the crews are working at and will generally last about 30 minutes, but some could be longer depending on the required work at the location.

HEA crews will be installing new fuses along the power line which will improve the reliability of electric service in the K-Beach Road area.

HEA reminds utility customers to take steps to protect all sensitive electronic equipment in homes and businesses.
