Kenai Council to vote on comp plan

The Kenai City Council will vote to approve sending its comprehensive plan to the Kenai Peninsula Borough for review in its regular council meeting tonight.

The city introduced the plan in an early-September town hall meeting. The plan has since received criticism from residents about its proposed mixed-use land use classification along the Kenai Spur Highway.

Council delayed voting to approve its plan in its March 20 meeting to elicit more public input.

Council will meet 7 p.m. today in City Hall, 210 Fidalgo Avenue.
