Man wounded in Friday shooting in Nikiski

A 26-year-old man was shot in the leg in Nikiski early Friday morning.

 

He was taken to Central Peninsula Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Alaska State Troopers reported the man was riding in the bed of a truck that was driving east on Industrial Avenue when he was shot. Two other people were in the same vehicle as the victim. The gunshot came from outside of the vehicle.

Troopers are continuing investigation, and no arrests have been made.
