Photos: Clearing a path
Photo by Rashah McChesney/Peninsula Clarion A piece of earthmoving equipment owned by CIC, Inc. is being used to clear the Squirrel, Owl and portions of the Fox trail on the Tsalteshi Trails Wednesday June 26, 2013 in Soldotna, Alaska. Dan Skipwith said the process will take a few days and was paid for the Tsalteshi Trails Association. Jeremy Brantley, a CIC, Inc., employee who drove the equipment said he was using the equipment to tear up the root mat on the trail so members of the association could come back through and level it the ground - a process that can be difficult when tree and large plant roots remain embedded in the ground.
