Vehicle rollover reported, driver transported to CPH

A semi-truck with a flatbed trailer filled with lumber was on its side and completely off the road near Mile 105 Sterling Highway, just north of Kasilof, Monday afternoon.

Shortly before 2 p.m. Central Emergency Services received a report of a rollover. According to Captain Terry Bookey, CES arrived to find the semi on its side and the load of lumber partially in the ditch.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Central Peninsula Hospital for evaluation of apparent, non-life threatening injuries. The driver was the only occupant.

Bookey said the vehicle was traveling southbound toward Kasilof. The cause of the incident is unknown.
