Troopers suspect arson in mobile home fire

Alaska State Troopers are investigating a mobile home fire that appears to have been intentionally set.

 

Central Emergency Services was notified of the fire at about 10:40 p.m., Sunday and responded with one engine, four tankers, one medic unit and one command vehicle.

The trailer on Arc Loop Road in Soldotna was unoccupied at the time of the fire, and appears to have been abandoned, CES Captain Lesley Quelland said. No one was injured.

The fire was under control after 21 minutes and out after 25 minutes. The trailer was “completely destroyed by the fire,” Quelland said.

Alaska State Troopers are working with the property owner to find out who started the fire and why.
