A three-man rescue team races from the mouth of the Kenai River through fog, heavy rain and rolling wind waves in time to pluck two people from the water who abandoned ship after their boat took on water in Cook Inlet Wednesday evening. At one point authorities describe the boat at "35 percent sunk" with at least one person on board. Two teams were involved in the rescue, one from Kenai and the other from Nikiski Fire Station.
