New well nears completion in Kenai

Kenai is currently programming its recently installed high-production well. City Manager Rick Koch said the process may take one week to a month to complete.

Once the new well is online, the city will take offline its two small-production wells, reserving them only for emergencies, Koch said.

With two high-production wells, the city will produce 2,000 gallons of water a minute. Currently it produces 800 gallons of water a minute, Koch said.
