Troopers investigate shooting

Investigation is ongoing following a Sunday night 911 call reporting a woman with a gunshot wound.

Alaska State Troopers and Central Emergency Services responded to the call in the Funny River area.

Mylin Scovel, 44, of Soldotna, was found shot at a Lourdes Avenue residence. She was transported to Central Peninsula Hospital in stable condition. Megan Peters, trooper spokesperson, said her injury is non-life threatening.
