Judith Kay Isham Downing

Soldotna resident Judith Kay Isham Downing died Sept. 3, 2013, surrounded by family at St. Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage. She was 68.

She was born on July 22, 1945, in Vancouver, Wash. to Semer and Margaret Downing. In 1963 she graduated from Girls Polytechnic in Portland, Ore.

She married Richard (Skip) Isham on April 26, 1979 in Battle Ground, Wash.

“Mom always lit up a room with her warm character and smile. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She is loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure,” the family said.

She was preceded in death by Father Semer Downing, mother Margaret Downing and brother Delbert Downing.

She is survived by her sisters; Donna and her husband Herman Seitz of Battle Ground, Wash. and Sandy and her husband Rory Rutherford of Salem, Ore., sons; Matthew and his wife Glenda Isham of Soldotna, Alaska, David and his wife Marcia Collins of Portland, Ore., and Brian and his wife Tanya Collins of Portland, Ore., daughters; Marcie Call of Sterling, Alaska, and Melissa and her husband Josh Shipley of Selah, Wash, step sons; Dave Isham of Boise, Idaho, Jim Isham of

Yacolt, Wash., Tim and his wife Janice Isham of Yacolt, Wash., and Herb and his wife Melody Isham of Vancouver, Wash., and many grandchildren.
