Three Anchorage residents were arrested at a Sterling house for drug and gun possession Tuesday.

According to court documents, and Alaska State Trooper discovered a heavily taped package with a hand-written label at Federal Express in Anchorage while doing a routine parcel sort on Tuesday morning.

Troopers discovered the package was being priority overnight from San Jose, Calif., to the Lesha Lindley. The parcel was paid for with cash, according to the complaint. A trooper K9 sniffed and indicated the package contained drugs.

A search warrant led investigators discovered a jewelry box that contained 18.1 grams of meth. A lotion container held 29.7 grams of meth.

Responding to an alarm that the package was opened, investigators entered the home about one minute later and found David Quayle, 40, Roseann Garcia, 33, and Lindley, 35, in the house as well as additional meth, drug packaging materials, a scale, pipes and at least two concealable firearms. Troopers had put clue spray on the package before delivery and all three had the spray on their hands, according to the report.

The suspects were arraigned in District Court in at Kenai Courthouse Wednesday. Their next court date is Oct. 28.
