2 men arrested in gun incident

Two men were arrested after no injuries resulted from a shooting incident last week in Anchor Point.

Richard Strassburg, 46, of Kenai, and Donovan Lee, 39, of Homer, were armed when Alaska State and Wildlife Troopers responded to a report of gunfire in front of a Louis Huber Avenue house at about 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 6, according to a trooper report.

Troopers say the men did not comply with requests at first. Lee fled about 50 yards on foot before returning to the scene where both men surrendered, according to troopers.

Neither Lee nor Strassburg admitted to being assaulted, and each were arrested and charged with two counts of third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer for placing the two responding troopers in fear of injury.

Trooper spokesperson Megan Peters said the investigation is ongoing.

Kenai sells bowling alley

After 11 months of receiving offers and holding negotiations, the Kenai City Council has sold the former AlaskaLanes Bowling Alley, a closed business located on the Kenai Spur Highway near the Three Bears grocery store, to Dean You for $450,000.
