Council votes unanimously on action items

The Soldotna City Council passed a four ordinance, four resolution consent agenda at its Wednesday night meeting.

Through the consent agenda, the council set Dec. 11 public hearings for four ordinances and adopted four resolutions.

The council moved through its other regular agenda items unanimously passing all items.

It passed one ordinance to add a Librarian I position. With the expanded library, additional staffing is needed, according to the ordinance.

The council passed five resolutions including approval of the meeting schedule, execution of a contract for a City of Soldotna website, approval of job descriptions in the Library Department, authorization to purchase a 2014 Ford for the Street Department and authorization to enter a contract for the Kalifornsky Beach Water Reservoir Design Project.

In other items, the council set a Jan. 8, 2014 public hearing for North Aspen Road improvements and confirmed appointments to boards and commissions.
