Tom and Adele invite any single veterans to share a Thanksgiving dinner, from 2-5 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. Anyone wishing to help with preparing food, set up, taking food to veterans or picking would be appreciated. Those interested in helping with a financial donation can receive a tax deduction by making checks payable to Family Bible Fellowship or they can get a donation letter should they want to give cash. Run off that turkey dinner and support the T200 sled dog race and the Kenai River Interact Club. The T200 Turkey Trot is Friday, with 5- and 10-kilometer events starting at noon at the Soldotna Sports Center. Register online at or beginning at 11 a.m. on race day. Registration is $20 for adults, $10 for students and $5 for kids under age 10.

The 2013 annual Arts and Crafts Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Kenai Central High School. Santa will make an appearance at the event from noon to 4 p.m. Admission is free and the event is sponsored by the Peninsula Arts Guild and the Kenai Fine Arts Center.

The Kenai Central High School Wrestling Booster Club is sponsoring a raffle for a custom electric guitar package, with a retail value of $1,300. Tickets are $10 each and available at Old Town Music in Kenai. Only 120 tickets will be sold. Drawing to be held December 12.

The Soldotna High School Child Development class is having a free daycare Dec. 12-13 from noon-2:15 p.m. Games, crafts, snacks, and other activities will be provided. Children must be potty trained and between 2-5 years of age. Registration is required. Please email Meggean at for an enrollment form.
