Troopers, CES battle Saturday trailer fire

Alaska State Troopers and Central Emergency Services responded to a trailer house fire in Soldotna on Saturday at about 11 p.m.

According to a trooper report, the fire was contained to the kitchen and underneath the trailer. The Irons Avenue home was unoccupied during the fire, except for two pet rats, one of which died.

The blaze was reported at 10:52 p.m. The interior of the trailer suffered fire, smoke and water damage. The fire is not believed to be intentional, according to the report.
