Sunday night, multiple Alaska State Troopers were called to Nikiski to respond to a situation.
Trooper spokesperson Beth Ipsen said the troopers responded to a domestic violence incident involving gunfire. She would not release information about whether or not people were injured in the situation.
In a Monday morning email, Ipsen said the incident was isolated and the parties have been separated. Troopers made arrests in relation to the situation.
Troopers are investigating the incident, and Ipsen wrote in the email, troopers don’t feel confident in releasing additional information fearing it may jeopardize the investigation.
