Sterling Highway in Cooper Landing reopened

Update: The Sterling Highway at Mile 46 in Cooper Landing reopened at 2:34 p.m., according to Alaska State Troopers. 

The Sterling Highway was closed Friday morning at Mile 46 in Cooper Landing due to an accident involving a semi-truck and a car. Ipsen said there were minor injuries reported from the crash. No one was transported for medical attention. 

According to information posted on the Alaska 511 website, a two-vehicle collision had closed the highway west of Quartz Creek Road. 

The cause of the accident is yet to be determined.
