A collision between a pickup truck and a Ford Focus left one woman injured Wednesday, though police said her injuries were not life-threatening.

The accident happened at about 4:30 p.m. on Willow Street when the truck made a lefthand turn in front of the car which was traveling south near the Country Foods IGA at 140 S. Willow Street, said Kenai Police Department Sgt. Ben Langham. The driver of the truck was uninjured, he said.

The collision caused the car to careen onto the sidewalk and traffic was narrowed down to one lane as Kenai police and firefighters worked to stabilize the woman as she lay in the road.

A Nikiski Fire Department ambulance transported her to Central Peninsula Hospital, Langham said. Traffic returned to normal patterns shortly after 5 p.m.
