Bagley: Changes mean new challenges, new ideas

Our current City Manager, Larry Semmens is retiring September 30th and he will be missed. He had done a great job getting our City finances in order and has given us tools to help us understand the City’s needs. Larry will be missed. At the same time I am excited about Mark Dixson coming on board as our new City Manager. With Mayor Micciche moving on to the Alaska Senate we will have a change in the Mayor’s position soon and there are basically two new City Councilmembers as well. So there is a lot of turnover right now and which brings both challenges and new ideas. The City Council, Mayor and Administration have had a great relationship and I see that continuing into the future.
