Response to shooting requires different approach

Posted: January 15, 2013 - 4:47pm

In response to the senseless tragedy in Newtown, Conn., many elected officials and some people in the news media have proposed reinstituting a ban on some semiautomatic weapons.

While well-intentioned, this measure will do little more than satisfy the conscience of its backers, while again failing to protect innocent Americans from future tragedies. After all, let’s not forget that the previous semiautomatic ban failed to protect the victims of the Columbine tragedy, the North Hollywood shootout and other extreme acts of violence.

Further restricting the Second Amendment will only succeed in disarming law-abiding Americans, while doing nothing to further restrict firearm access to irrational individuals intent on carrying out heinous crimes such as the Newtown school murders.

By definition, criminals hold contempt for the law, and they certainly don’t care what kind of weapon they use to carry out their terror.

It is illegal for anyone to sell or provide firearms or ammunition to someone he suspects of being mentally incompetent. Yet despite such strong laws, the per capita rate of federal weapons prosecutions in 2011 was down 35 percent from its peak during the previous administration.

Instead of renewing the partial semiautomatic weapons ban that lawmakers permitted to expire in 2004, President Obama and his law enforcement agencies should enforce existing gun laws that a majority of Americans support.

At the same time, the administration should focus its time and funding on removing the stigma associated with, and improving, the identification and treatment of mentally ill individuals.

A weapons ban requires the cooperation of madmen intent on death and destruction, making it an ineffective step that misses the broader point. We must put aside the pandering to the American public and the easy short cuts that make people feel better, but in reality don’t make us any safer.

Instead, we should work toward a sound way to keep all firearms out of the hands of those whose mental illnesses make them a danger to themselves or others. To do anything less would be a failure that we, as a society, cannot continue to tolerate.

Congressman Don Young represents Alaska in the U.S. House of Representatives. This piece first appeared in USA Today.

Arming the world, but, disarm America

What amazes me it the nonstop vigour to which America arms the rest of the world to fight and kill others. Yet, at the very same time America wants to disarm Americans nonstop.
Whats up with this crazy nonstop goals coming from Americas government?
Lets see now how these actions of arming are working out for Good while these arms are being used nonstop to kill our citizens world wide.
We give weapons to rebel fighters world wide along with $TRILLIONS$ of dollars so they can use them against Americans whose government gave them those guns.
Take the Benghazi death of our ambassador Stevens, he was about to blow the gun running by America to Muslim obedients (NOT RADICALS) wide open and thus was killed along with others for that threat. Were are all those Americans that survived these actions who no one can find or even talk to?
It's not about stopping killings folks, it's about disarming America so the Obedients can come here with their American guns and spread their love.
Americas government, the majority of could care less about anyone that might appose their Dream of Global control of all.
I'm pretty sure the EO's will not accomplish any good, nor are they ment to, they will in reality cause mor troubles and deaths by trying to remove Americas guns, THE ONLY THING THATS KEPT US FREE TO DATE AFFORDED BY OUR CONSTITUTION.
Buy rice & beans and extra ammo as these will all be a supreme value as time goes by.
We pay these people to kill us and restrict our constitutional rights nonstop, now thats whats amazing to me.
Alaska needs to pass our OWN LAWS combating stupidity or ideas of taking away our weapons as Free Americans, Alaskans under OUR Constitutional rights.
I wonder why our very smart forefathers who invented all kinds of technological things, yet they did not know that guns would also advance in technology to the point of simiautos or even fullauto capabilities and put that in the constitution?
They hoped we would be smart enough to realize that things change and thus had an ALL INCOMPASSING word of ARMS. The rights to BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT be infringed.
ALL ARMS, if governments only used muskets like the everyday person did back then, then it is an all incompassing idea that the populas should have the very same guns that governments have.
If Obama had it his way we would all still be using Bayonets while the govt. uses simi or fully automic weapons. Now how fair would that be to send a soveriegn FREE citizen out to fight against a well armed fighter wanting to disolve our constitutionla rights?

Congressman Don Young

Thanks for this heads up and WE THE PEOPLE ALASKANS, do appreciate your support for our constitutional rights and would ask that you continue to fight this Evil desire to reinslave all of us into a Global society Dream act of tyrannical all powerful despots whose every move has been to bring America to a submissive state for a UN ruled Global leader.
Keep up the fight for our freedoms that are constantly being attacked from all fronts, even backdoor slip in the back with fained concern for our children or anyone else in a desire to restrict our weapons that would protect these children more than his pretend caring laws.
To Mike Chenault and all the Alaska State Reps, i also want to thank you again for your efforts before today in preparing for what was coming and introducing HB69 to outlaw any outside interferance from govt. officials wanting to restrict our gun rights afforded us under our constitutional rights.
Thanks to all that support our freedoms in this ever increasing fight against our rights, a fight aimed at causing us lose our soveriegn rights, the only thing which keeps us from joining that Global Union One.
It's not about safety, it's about slavery for all Americans, the slavery God and Forefathers each WARNED would come someday and that day is here it does appear, does it not?
Keep up the Good fight ALL of you

Thank You All.

Thank you Congressman Don Young

Thank you Congressman Don Young. At least there is one guy out there who isn't out of his mind like Obamo. You are right on. "A weapons ban requires the cooperation of madmen intent on death and destruction" What do we need next, maybe we send out questioners for madmen to fill out?
Are you a madman? If so please give us your name and telephone number so we can come and get you... Obamo just does not get it. The nut jobs he is trying to control are not going to volunteer to id themselves so Obamo can stop them. They are going to avoid all the forms, the training classes the psychological tests. They are just going to grab their moms gun (that has all the forms filled out) and go do nut job things as Obamo wonders were it all went wrong. A teenager has more sense than Obamo. Obamo just can't bring himself to crank up his thought process a little bit and see what's coming before it gets there. LAZY!

Whats Congressman Don Young telling us?

Well allow me to say that thats a major surprize my last post about the possible truthfulness of the Gun debate compared to the CT. shooting being a TEST and for the life of me i can't figure out where i offended or broke any Clarion rules with that post.
I of course may have revealed a hidden agenda by the left to sway EMOTIONS of Love & Fear by people into reacting against guns which are not the trouble at all.
I wonder if this is what our Good Congressman Young is also trying to reveal without saying it. Things are not always as they appear, so be careful how you allow EMOTIONS to influance your decision prosess.
I most certainly would like to know why my previous post was pulled? Was it due to the Hoax by Hawaiian Notre Dame palyers fictional girlfriend? Was it due to the possibility of a Hoax in CT. for EMOTIONAL gun control? What was the reason?
Is our Fellow Alaskan warning us that we need to be careful in this Battle for our rights to own guns being threatened from EMOTIONS that are in fact a Hoax as well. Just wondering.

why was my previous post removed?

There was absolutely no reason to remove my previous post of This is a Test. I did not say anything that was false in that post about the nonstop TESTS ferformed daily by many differant institutions, even my past employeer HEA conducted emergency tests. Thats just not right for that post to be removed. I can understand some of my previous posts being removed due to bad attitude of language or offensive remarks, but, that was not the case here as NATIONAL NEWS REVEALS ALL I SAID as being a possibility of a massive HOAX, just like the Hawaiian Manti TE'O and his pretend girlfriend that never existed, but, was used as a tool for emotional reactions from others for an end game desire of his own making.
I would appreciate an answer on why that was removed when it broke no clarion rules? Thank You.

The topic of the opinion piece by Congressman Don Young was on discussing reasonable alternatives to new gun legislation in preventing gun violence.

The removed comment strayed from that subject almost in its entirety. This is against the posting rules and terms of service.

Thanks for that reply Vincent

As i retrace what i posted i can't see that that was interily the case. I do appreciate your responce though & this is probably something others would also appreciate when their posts are removed.
As i stated in the removed post about the shooting and the required responce to it to which Mr Young was writting i asked if it could actually be a Hoax. This is a National question of debate circling America's electronic stage. I gave a web site where the question was asked could Prez. Obama actually do such a thing as dupe America into a reactionary outcry to restrict guns. I also questioned why some Dems had been preparing for such a time as this to bring forth their recent plans for gun control?
The web site i gave shows several news articles about these questions on the shooting being posed. http://www.hallindsey.com/ scroll down to the question of could Obama do this planned Hoax to pass gun restrictions? I'm not saying it's true, just asking and pointing out that maybe thats what our Congressman ment with this letter as a possible warning to not be to hasty on what is being done or reported which caused the outrage.
I will continue to try and not ver off track as i have been trying to do, and Thanks once again for the reply.
Have a GR8 Day.

FIRE!

State by state is issuing their own laws in responce to the Kings 23 edicts of manditory gun control, because we just don't know whats good for us.
East coast blue states are further restricting guns to the point of pushing their citizens into a civil war or revolution, while also allowing evil criminals who could careless about gun laws laughing their butts off and saying let the party begin.
I promise you and have warned that this President would usher in a civil war due to his Global society Dreams, recognized by what he says and does. Also the period of time we are now living in in relation to the prophecied word of God at the End of the Age gives WARNINGS. Warnings written almost 2000 yrs ago are now shouting out to use daily from the News Headlines world wide. Warnings our forefathers also gave us of what would return someday for yet another shoot at REINSLAVING ALL HUMANITY, if we allowed their return to power. I truly believe that God is in control and has WARNED US ALL of what was coming so we could escape, that does not take away from my responcibility to WARN OTHERS that it is coming and it's not a single second early or late in it's arrival according to Gods time table.
FIRE! Is spreading Nation wide, even Globally and it's about to become a raging inferno that will consume every thing in it's distructive path to inslave us all for the coming Global Union of all peoples. Revelation 13; again is the Bible referance and i'm sorry i must revert back to this chapter continually that shows us exactly what we are facing, but, i have no other choice as i wish to warn and maybe save some from whats coming in this Global Citizenry Dream Act being pushed nonstop.
I could just remain quite about the FIRE, or shout out as to be heard by many of that FIRE, in hope that many will wake up from their slumber and say, hey, theres a FIRE i better do something to protect me and mine. Others will say bunk, it's only smoke and some nutjob waking us up for nothing, go back to sleep it'll be ok.
So they go back to sleep until there is no escapeing the FIRE and all is lost for eternity. So what will you do when you here the shouts of FIRE, FIRE, FIRE, react or go back to sleep?
WE HAVE BEEN WARNED TIME AFTER TIME OF WHAT WAS COMING, WHICH IS NOW HERE.

Thank you for your letter showing what side gun control you stand on! It is my hopes that Lisa Murkowski (RINO) and Mark Begich (LD) are courageous enough to decide which side they stand on!

I called their office about 3 weeks ago asking where they stood on obamas measures on gun control and their answer? "have to wait and see"

HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE?!?!!

What does that mean? Sit around and let a Government who is out of control, implement gun control on the citizens of our Last Frontier?

Shame on them! They DO NOT have my vote next election!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MR. DON YOUNG! You make us feel proud to be Alaskan!

EMOTIONS cause differant responces

Noah Webster 1: [Noun] Literally, a moving of the mind or soul; hence, any agitation of mind or excitement of sensibility..
2: [Noun] In a philosophical sense, an internal motion or agitation of the mind which passes away without desire; when desire follows, the motion or agitation is called a passion..

The state of absolute passiveness, in consequence of any sudden percussion of mind, is of short duration. The strong impression, or vivid sensation, immediately produces a reaction correspondent to its nature, either to appropriate and enjoy, or avoid and repel the exciting cause. This reaction is very properly distinguished by the term emotion. My cause for concern

Thank you Congressman Young for a level headed downplay to the end of times doomsday soothsayings. And the "not so fast" to the Gun Grabbers really helps too. Congressman I am very concerned our central Government might just have a total monetary collaspe leading to huge civil unrest. I don't think we can trust the gungrabbers to not over reach in their zeal to shine the spotlight of Newtown on their cause. But the sanctity of our 2nd Amendment being questioned by a current government that can't even provide a sound fiscal policy alarms me. It's not that the American gun owners are myopic, or uncaring and don't see the tragedy of Newtown. It's just that we see it through a lense less rose colored than the anti-gunners. I think disarming the public to the degree these antigunners think will make the difference will leave us vulnerable to rampant crime. As the criminals will still be armed. I would not feel safe for my officers as an administrater telling then to go out and disarm any law abiding citizens.
And this is disarmament at the personal level, leaving citizens without weapons capable of repelling attacks by an armed invasionary force. That's what a militia is really all about, when the public sees everything going to hell in a hand basket to the point they decide it's time to arm themselves and get envovled. If for whatever reason someone feels that the publics efforts would be ineffective, you need to come out to the range on a busy day. We got talent all over the peninsula and more verterans and millitary retirees per capita than I think they know. So thanks for some reasurrance there is someone in the publics corner on this very hot topic. So keep those prayers coming for Newtown and America.

Paranoid whackjobs who think we are on the verge of armegeddon are the ones that our society needs to be concerned with. Those who sit on the couch watching faux news 24/7 or listening to the blowhard rush limburger have their paranoia and hate requirement filled daily.

Any idiot who thinks that somehow they are going to go against the USA, my country, is in for a huge surprise.

Pump up your chest and rant and rage all you want, if the time ever comes that you feel it is necessary to overthrow our government because you have to have a 10 round clip instead of a 50 round clip, then you are messed up.

And one flew over the

No I'm not a top cop or officer, or pretending to be. Ain't pumped up with or about nothing. If you look around at another blog on the red herring you'll see that I stated clearly when and if I think the local LE need assistance in any way to keep law and order that I along with hundreds of others would be right there! Ten round clips and all, reloading a lot if needed because the bad guys will still have their 50 rnd clips. Is it your normal approach to jump up and down on somebody with an opposing veiw? So please chill just a few degrees as to respond to this rant I'm veering off subject.
I'm saying that a responsible citizen has a duty or civil obligation, first to be able to defend themselves from resonable means of attack. Then to stand ready to assist LE and Military in protecting law and order in civil defense locally! I accepted that responsibility when I joined the Alaska National Guard. As long as it is legal to pocess weapons capable of assisting in that persuit I feel America is a much safer place for us all. I know hundreds of other gun owners all over the peniinsula feel the same way.
To think you disagree, that these hundreds (really thousands) of folks wouldn't make this place a little safer during time of major civil distress and upheaval is rediculous.
And it is my personal opinion only that I would be worried for any police force sent to confiscate weapons. As sooner or later they would run into criminal eliments who thought they had nothing to loose and go down hard! My Uncle was County Sheriff in Oklahoma and I know his hesitantcy to put his Deputies in harms way. And it may make me look a little mamby pamby but I could never sign up for a job that took the stones it would take to volenteer for that job.

I absolutely agree with your quote. No argument whatsoever. I'll do exactly the same except I'll be on the side of our country and government, not against it.

I served in the US Army during the Viet Nam era and took the following oath.
..............................................
"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God." (Title 10, US Code; Act of 5 May 1960 replacing the wording first adopted in 1789, with amendment effective 5 October 1962).
...........................................................

I still honor and obey that oath even though I no longer am in active duty. To me it is part of the honor and duty of being an American citizen.
Not every election does my politican of choice get in office, however, I still will honor and respect the decisions of my commander in chief. That is what being a true patriotic American citizen means.
We do not have any tyrants in office who are trying to create a one world order. We do not have an oppresive government that is doing away with any of our constitional freedoms. What we do have is alot of fear and hatemongers throwing fuel on fires trying to create hate and discontent over every single issue with our country.
That is why I am passionate about oppossing anyone who thratens the unity of our country, whether it is foreign or domestic.

Where we do differ is if the federal government determines that it is necessary to implement some sort of limit on the size of mags/clips, then we comply. We do not threaten to go on a rampage and begin shooting others who disagree with us over it.

Chenault nor the state of alaska does not have any constituitional authority to go against a limit on the size of mags/clips. If our government decides that they will put a limit on a 10 round mag then comply. If you feel you need to have grenades, rocket launchers, tanks, aircraft carriers, etc to protect yourself, then you have issues that having a weapon will not solve.

Well knock me over with a feather

Thanks for those few degrees, I will grab them, I honor and treasure the spirit intended in their offering. The issue you have championed is fueled and ignited via the acts of an insane person. It is simply my position that America is the land of the free and the home of the brave because of the actions of every brave soldier that put it on the line to defend and protect these rights. You Norseman are the first real combat verteran I have talked to willing to lay down their weapons just in the light of this Newtown disaster. And I love and respect your decition to do that. However I know hundreds of folks that think, even if it's just for future peril they will not disarm to the extent you desire. Forgive me that I can't just sit silently and watch as these folks are lumped into a group and called criminal if they refuse to be as trusting as you. That's not to hard to understand is it?
We are a great nation because a vast population of free thinking individuals from all over this wonderful planet have been migrating to the sound of our song "America The Beautiful" for many generations. I'll guarantee you that migration has been joined by many who herald our 2nd amendment as respected world wide. So it's like a differing opinion, but I respectfully don't think your not going to be able to force the issue into law.
As per capita gun ownership in Isreal is completely of the scale from the American perspective. You might think gun crimes would be rampant or accidental shootings common. But even with the legal ownership of full auto Uzzies,AR's , (live select fire auto M-16 style), and the like, gun crimes are nearly none existing in the public population, imagine that!

You show me one time, anywhere, where I said I'd lay down my weapons. Never have, and never will.

Making false claims about someone is libel.

We are a nation of laws. We are the United States of America. We have the best military in the world who keep guard over us 24X7. I sleep well at night knowing that.

I also sleep well because I have the skills and weapons needed to stop any unwanted intruder.

Rant and rave all you want over 10 rounds vs 30 rounds. If it becomes law than you either obey the law or not. Just realize what those consequences may be.

If you are willing to shoot me or others over that, then you have real issues.

Wouldn't slam the outhouse door

Manners now Norseman, your getting a little unneccessarily lippy in your response. Nobody is making any statements about shooting anybody or ranting and raving for that matter. It's just an issue we disagree about in a furrum where you get to bring your differing veiws and dicuss them rationally. Like my saying you seem to be ready to lay your weapons down, sure sounds like that was your intentions. Sounded almost like you were going in that direction and all I was saying is I respect that. And your liable statement is so FAR from reality that I wonder if your trolling for a flame trying to insert credibility into a very juvenile discourse. That totally makes you sound like a ranting and raving blogger, and we don't need that. And I will always be on the side of These United States.
Being a veteran you understand or should understand the gravity and serious stresses invovled in a fire fight. Those bad guys have you outgunned, you reach in and grab your last clip, and you only have 10 rounds. Not a good feeling when you know there are 15 bad guys and they all have 40 round clips.
That is what we are talking about, the head stud duck Cheif of Police in a National organization of Cheifs said the gangs are arming themselves with AR's and assault rifles as their weapon of choice. So if I am called upon to assist the local LE or Military in a time of national disaster or stress, you would have me undergunned for the sake of some liberal over reaching mob grabbing for my 20 round clip! Put all the limits you need on criminals but buddy your wrong to push your beliefs or faith in this government surviving on everybody because it might collapse like one of Macy's balloons.
So what else I'm saying is I think it's un-American to change something as profound as the 2nd Amendment to meet some social agenda pandering to voters. I feel the mainstream media has played the heartstrings of the public like a harp on a windy day. The man was a deranged murderer and he has helped point out the fact that our children in schools were unprotected. That is the first policy that needs to be changed and to not be willing to discuss that aspect shows the Washington liberals are more anxious to get our guns than they are to protect our schools.
Because you think it's right by you to limit law abiding folks does nothing to protect our schools. That is the point your missing, the bad guys will not surender those big guns and we may have to face them to protect our community. But if ever an invasion of foriegn troops happens the thousands of armed citizens pouring out of the wood work will be impressive. And you would have them limited to a 10 round clip to pander to the liberal gun grabbing majority, is the problem. That majority may change in a short order of one 4 year cycle yet you would think you are wise enough to strip America of our greatest ace in the hole for national distress and personal protection.

By Jove i think you've got it BRD, norseman wants to shoot fellow Americans who stand against his DOMESTIC ATTACKING MESSIAH who desires to rid America of OUR Constitution to help usher us into his Global Citizenry, UNION ONE.
His job, norsemans and a few others is to garner info here on the web of people who are not supporters of this Anti-christ, that means instead of Christ we now have another messiah, way foreward chosen leader with his New Fundamentals & Hope to BELIEVE IN. ALL NEW to replace OUR OLD Fundamentals & Hopes to Believe in given us by our forefathers who were inspired by God to WARN us of what was coming at the End of the Age we are now in.
It's a Religious ALIGNMENT for WWIII and LINES ARE RAPIDLY BEING DRAWN between Messiah BO's followers and everyone else.
If you noticed yesterdays rants at the inaugaration we are assured of NOTHING BUT WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY SEEN, ONLY COMPOUNDED NOW COMING FORTH WITH GR8 VENGEANCE AGAINST ALL WHO APPOSE THE ONE.
It's not about protecting the innocent babies from simiauto weapons when we kill 6500+ a day due to mens choice of weapons, rePETERS going off nonstop, and women killing babies from those weapons going off, with many repeat offenders as well.
4.8+ MILLION BABIES aborted under BO's watch thus far, so maybe we do need a differant approach to weapons going off, just not firearms.
Battle lines are being Drawn more so daily and it's always TWO SIDED, GOOD VS EVIL, and now days it's hard to tell the differance between each thanks to our moral decline as a Nation under God thanks to the REDEFINED FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGED meanings of Liberty and Freedoms for all.
God help us ALL.

Another shooting at a school, who would have thunk that this might happen again to help push gun control?
The thing i find amazing as i watch this unfold is the massive number of LE on the scene at this ONE insident. What in the world would WE THE PEOPLE do if this was a planned all out nationwide situation with massive numbers of shootings WIDE SPREAD around many cities by Evil people wanting to kill others and the LE was streached beyond it's ability to respond?
This is exactly what is planned for America if we allow then to remove our arms to protect ourselves and others from Evil intentioned people, both Foriegn & Domestic.
LE cannot protect all of us, nor can the military. So what would be the results of a disarmed America? We would be like fish in a barrel wondering when & if my turn was next as a helpless sucker dependant on LE or Govt. to defend me and mine from evils spread & distruction.
I would venture to say that we will see a massive nationwide gun battle every where and schools with their WELCOME SIGNS saying Gun Free Zones will be the largets targets of all by those wanting to take away our arms.
Lines are being drawn in the sand and actions are being done to help the Govt. declair war on the American people who will not surrender our arms to the LE or Military that do not support our Constitution or our Freedoms. Not all LE or Military or Americans are False OATH Takers. Many are True OATH takers and will fight against those that wish to disarm our nation.
So what do we have?
WE HAVE TWO SIDES AND A WAR COMING BETWEEN THEM FIGHTING FOR OR AGAINST OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS OF FREEDOM.
I think that LE would want us to help in this fight when it becomes wide spread and they can't responde to all of them and usually arrive after the facts to do paper work and clean up the mess.
IT'S GONNA GET A LOT WORSE AS EVIL IS GIVEN FREE REIGN OF TERROR BY RESTRICTING OUR RIGHTS TO BEAR ARMS IN OUR OWN DEFENCE AGAINST EVIL BECAUSE THE LE CAN'T DO IT ALL.
What a mess and getting worse.

fishing for info

I'm Commenting for the many who feel it is within the realm of posibility any comment in a forrum such as this could draw repercussions from fishing agents working for the dark side. During a time when America is fighting 2 wars and this is susposed to be a recovery. I do feel that the American patriot should find comfort in knowing an armed public would greatly complicate any enemy, foreign or domestic from abolishing our sanctum rights called the 'Bill of Rights". I am uncertain just what light that leaves those opposed to the disarmament currently plotted against what I feel to be American Patriot Gun Owners.
I am shocked again today with the shooting up of another college full of students by a madman. Like copy cat murderers throughout history, but the lament of the day may also be laid at the feet of lawabiding gun owning citizens. It will be gas on the fire of gun grabbers everywhere. Lord Help US

What just might be coming!

Folks, I have heard some supposedly very smart and accurate economists predict that later on this year this country will have to default on their loan payments since they will no longer be able to afford to pay the interest payments due on our debt.
Now when you factor in that our elected politicians refuse to even consider budget cuts and passing a balanced budget after four years they just might be unto something here.

They predict a 3,000% increase in the price of gas which will stop all food deliveries to our grocery stores. Then consider that all government benefit checks will come to a sudden stop so those using food stamps to survive will now be looking to break into houses in search of food. If/when this comes about your sure going to wish you were armed since most likely they will be huge fans of our President. But the gene pool will get a big dose of Chlorine. Also I would be willing to bet my last dollar that our elected officials will still find a way to draw their pay and benefits...retired or not!

Pay little attention to the spew of Norseman or Roulduke, the liberal sewage of opinions smells so bad that only bacteria feeds into their comments.

Kind of reminds me of this quip:

"Ye' as the King sat upon his high horse of intelligence;
and gazed down on his conquered masses.

He bore a look of bewilderment.

For as the peasants passed by; they silently carried about them a curious smile.

It was only they who could notice that he placed his saddle; upon backwards!"
