What others say: Wait and see

Posted: October 2, 2013 - 5:13pm

It will be years before the full effect of Obamacare is felt.

But, in the meantime, it starts today with the opening of the health-insurance marketplace.

Whether it stays open will depend on Congress and Congresses to come.

Republicans don’t like President Obama’s healthcare reform. Maybe not this week, with a Democrat-controlled Senate, but at some point the Republicans will regain control of both houses and the presidency and revise whatever Obamacare amounts to — which Americans are just beginning to discover. Some people like it, believing they will be able to buy affordable health insurance; others don’t because their prices are expected to increase. Only time will tell whether it improved Americans’ health insurance situation and well-being overall.

People are becoming aware gradually of what’s available in health insurance, but even then won’t understand the full extent until the health-care bills come. Then they will see what the insurance really covers. But private insurance agents and the new government insurance website (http://www.healthcare.gov.) can help in the meantime — even if it means taking a number.

All Americans are required to buy health insurance by Jan. 1. The only exceptions are for people with financial hardships and religious objections. Failing to purchase insurance will translate into fines, which if people can’t afford insurance — regardless of whether the government says they can — hardly makes sense. Border-line cases will exist that make it difficult for some Americans to buy insurance. Indeed, it will be better for others. In the end, however, someone (you or the next guy) pays the bill.

The best outcome of Obamacare would be that it causes health care prices to decline without a loss of quality care. But whether that happens won’t be fully evident for years.

Any one ever see a Republican

Any one ever see a Republican Union, any one? NO! They don't exist, yet it's the Republicans alone that dislike this Obama Care Unaffordable care act and are opposing it alone supposedly according to the Ketchikan reporter. REALLY?
Republicans alone, what about all the Democrat govt. officials as well as all the Democrat Unions along with other special exempt groups? Really? The GOP is the only ones that don't want anything to do with this Abomination? Is that what I'm reading here it's all on the GOP?
OK THEN! I guess we are the obstructionists alone who refuse this Law of the Land as a Good thing for ALL OF AMERICA.
THIS STUFF CAN'T BE MADE UP FOLKS, THEY REALLY BELIEVE WHAT THEIR SAYING AS TRUTH BLAMING THE GOP ALONE.

A funny thing happened one

A funny thing happened one day as I passed Safeway to the voting stations. When I got there and tried to vote of the best choice from BOTH PARTIES, I was told I had to decide what I was and vote ONLY FOR THOSE IN THAT PARTY.

So what do we have? We have a person that use to vote both Republican and Democrat depending on the issues and now we have a system that has separated all of us into two groups, with super smart people calling others the party of stupid. I would say that we all are the same party and the mass confusion proves that point.
Were all being PLAYED AS SUCKERS.
You sure it wasn't Carrs rather than Safeway? Both Union shops, that's not where you work is it by chance and receive the exemption for this care less plan?
Time always reveals the TRUTH, ALWAYS.
