Vote for Seaton! As a lifelong Alaskan Democrat, it is surprisingly easy for me to speak in support of Paul Seaton.
He has established a solid record of support for Cook Inlet fisheries, and has worked effectively to keep things balanced in the face of some terribly destructive proposed legislation.
More importantly, he has been willing to challenge his party on occasion regarding the need for a long term fiscal solution and the need for a mix of cuts and new revenues to accomplish a sustainable budget.
Paul seems to be the elusive perfect legislator, informed, non-partisan, with an ability to keep his focus on the important issues of the session and to work creatively and collaboratively with any and all interested parties to get the job done. Pity we have so few in office, let’s not let him go until he is ready.
