Students get taste of local businesses

Recently, The Soldotna High School Foods and Culinary Arts classes had a unique opportunity to visit local businesses. This field trip was called "food in my community." The purpose was for students to meet with local businesses and speak with employees about their jobs and the skills necessary to gain employment in a variety of fields working with food.

We would like to give a sincere appreciation to the following businesses for welcoming our students: Soldotna Safeway, Kenai Peninsula Food Bank, Froso's, Snug Harbor Seafoods, and Central Peninsula Hospital. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to meet with us.

These community ties strengthen the relationship between our students and their local community. It creates an opportunity for students to network and feel connected. We appreciate your kindness and generosity.
