Youth service appreciated

The LeeShore Center was the happy recipient of a youth service project provided by the Soldotna Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on June 10th.

David May and 56 youth and adults from the church came to LeeShore’s emergency shelter facility and provided improvements to our children’s playground area by laying pea gravel and doing some much needed area clean up. In addition to laying gravel, they trimmed trees, washed windows, swept our parking lot, and hauled off debris.

We appreciate all their hard work and support!  We’d also like to thank Norris & Sons for their generous donation of pea gravel for this project!  Your spirit of giving and contributing to social service agencies such as ours in the community is much appreciated.
