Fundraiser serves up help for food bank

The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank gratefully acknowledges Frank and Debbie Kassik, owners of Kassik’s Brewery in Nikiski for sharing their Fifth Anniversary Benefit for the Food Bank celebration with us. The June 4th event included food and beer served, a split the pot raffle, prizes, and live music, and proceeds were donated to our organization.  We would also like to recognize and thank donors Alaska Cab, Kathy Carmody, Coca Cola, Frito Lay, Northern Sales Company, and Three Bears, as well as all attendees who purchased tickets and brought nonperishable food drive items in support of our mission to feed the hungry of our community. Currently the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank serves USDA Commodity food boxes to 600 plus area families each month. This is an Equal Opportunity Program. We greatly appreciate the generosity of businesses such as Kassik’s and of each person who shares in upholding our common goal of helping to meet the daily food requirements of our neighbors in need.
