Tournament a success

The Funny River Quilters would like to thank everyone who helped make our golf tournament a success. The money raised at the tournament buys material, thread and batting to make quilts which are then donated to the community.

We gave out over 75 quilts last year to the hospital, Lee Shore Center, Heritage House, folks whose houses had burned, and to returning veterans.

Thank you to all of the golfers who came, despite the threat of rain!

Special thanks to Soldotna Realty, Sweeney’s, Trustworthy Hardware & Fishing, Fred Meyers, Sav-U-More, Three Bears, Alaska Oil Sales, Central Peninsula Hospital, J & H Sewing & Vacuum, Peninsula Surgical Solutions, Wells Fargo Bank, Dave & Jane Stein, Funny River Community Chamber of Commerce, Tarma Grooming, Tesoro Refinery, Robin Place Fabrics, Beemun’s Variety, Gamas Designs, Log Cabin Gifts, 4-D Carpets, Sportsmen’s Warehouse, Caddy Shack, Froso’s Restaurant, Summit Cleaners, Echo Lake Feed Store, and the Bird Homestead Golf Course for your donations and sponsorships.
