Talent boosts Soldotna library

I’d like to thank everyone who helped make the library’s Around-the-World Community Talent Showcase a huge success.

They include the Friends of the Joyce K. Carver Memorial Library who sponsored the event, ConocoPhillips (event canopy), and the Triumvirate Theater (stage and sound equipment).

Thank you to Soldotna Mayor, Peter A. Micciche, Library Board members, Sherril Miller and Marge Hays who had the difficult job of judging the performers.

I’d also like to thank our guest performer, Dan Pascucci for his fun “Sea Star” performance, Ben Stanton from KDLL for being our Master of Ceremonies, Joe Rizzo for stage construction, Marian Werth who tabulated the judges’ scores, Jonathan Pedginski (stage manager), Jesse Pedginski (sound guy) and volunteers: Carmen Triana (Soldotna Parks & Recreation), Jeanette Pedginski, Elaine Woodburn, Linda and Bethany McMilin, Jessal Strecker, and Kathlyne McLeod who worked on putting together the fantastic Book Basket silent auction.

Funds raised from the auction are going towards the Library Expansion project.

Thank you to our whole community for your continued patronage and support.
